Methodology
This policy is implemented in the calculator framework now; it will be reviewed again as each numbered tool ships real data.
Formulas are visible
Every result comes with a formula disclosure showing the exact calculation used, not just the output.
Assumptions are labeled
Default values (rounding mode, currency precision, example rates) are shown next to the result, not buried in a footer.
Sourced data carries a review date
Any preset that comes from a named vendor or standard shows its source, effective date and next review date. Fee/carrier presets are reviewed within 30 days or sooner on a provider change; technical/material standards within 180 days or sooner on change. A failed review disables the preset immediately rather than leaving stale data live.
Manual mode when data is unavailable
If a named dataset can't be verified, the tool falls back to an explicit manual-entry mode with visibly dated assumptions instead of guessing.
