Pixels and artwork mirroring
How this is calculated
pixels = ceil(mm / 25.4 × PPI)Required pixels always round up so the artwork is never short of the target print size. This tool calculates dimensions only — it never uploads or modifies your artwork file, including any mirroring some sublimation workflows require.
Worked example
A 254 × 203.2 mm template at 300 PPI needs 3000 × 2400 px — 254 / 25.4 × 300 = 3000, 203.2 / 25.4 × 300 = 2400.
Job cost and waste
A $6 unit cost at a 25% target margin: price = 6 / (1 − 0.25) = $8 before tax. Rejected units still cost material, so cost is spread over good units only, not attempted units.

Before production, always confirm your exact print-area template against your blank supplier's current specification sheet — dimensions can change between product batches and suppliers.

Questions
Are mug wrap dimensions universal?
No. Wrap dimensions vary by mug shape, handle position and manufacturer — an 11oz mug from one supplier is not guaranteed to match another's template even at the same nominal size. The starter presets in this tool are illustrative starting points only; always confirm exact print-area dimensions against your specific blank supplier's own template before producing artwork.
Does this tool mirror my artwork?
No — this tool only calculates dimensions and cost; it never uploads, reads or modifies an image file. Many sublimation workflows (especially mug wraps) require the artwork to be mirrored before printing, since the transfer paper is pressed face-down. That mirroring step happens in your design or RIP software, not here.
