Dana ran a 14-page lease through the office scanner and found a blank sheet at the front, the scanner's calling card. Her landlord wanted the signed copy within the hour, and that first page made it look sloppy. Elsewhere, a procurement lead needs to forward a vendor proposal but not the three-page terms appendix stuffed with your negotiated discounts.
Deleting the pages you don't want is the quickest fix for both. Here it happens right in your browser tab, which matters because leases, proposals and contracts are exactly the files you'd hesitate to hand to a random website.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Drop your PDF into the box above (or click to browse). The page count shows up once the file's been read.
- Type the pages to remove into "Pages to delete", like 1 or 2, 5-7. Commas separate items and a hyphen makes a range.
- Press "Delete Pages" and download the trimmed file. The pages you kept stay in their original sequence.
What happens to your file
Nothing leaves your machine. Your browser opens the PDF, copies every page you're keeping into a fresh document, and offers that new file as a download. The pages you deleted simply never get copied across.
There's no upload, no waiting room, and no copy of your lease or proposal sitting on someone else's disk. Because the original file is never modified, it's still on your computer exactly as it was if you change your mind.
Watch out for file size, bookmarks and deleting every page
Deleting pages doesn't guarantee a smaller file. Fonts and images that your remaining pages share with the removed ones stay put, so a 40 MB PDF with one deleted page may barely move. If size is the real goal, run the result through the compress tool afterward.
The new file is built from scratch, so document-level extras such as bookmarks (the outline panel) and the title shown in File, then Properties don't come along. Re-add them if the recipient relies on them. And the tool refuses to delete every page, since a PDF needs at least one.

Questions
How do I choose which pages to delete?
Type page numbers or ranges into the "Pages to delete" box, separated by commas. "3" removes one page, "2, 5-7" removes page 2 plus pages 5, 6 and 7. Page numbers start at 1 and match what you see in a viewer's page counter, and duplicates or overlapping ranges are fine.
Can I pick pages from thumbnails instead?
Not here. This tool works from typed numbers and ranges, which is handy once you've glanced at the PDF in your viewer and noted the pages. If you only have a vague idea, open the file first, jot down the page numbers, then come back.
Is deleting pages reversible?
Your original file is never changed. The tool builds a separate new PDF, so the untouched original stays wherever you saved it. Once you've downloaded the trimmed copy and thrown away the original, the deleted pages are gone for good, so keep a copy until you're sure.
Will deleting pages make my PDF smaller?
Usually a bit, but not always by much. Anything the kept pages still use, like a shared font or a logo image repeated on every page, stays in the file. A lighter file mostly comes from removing image-heavy pages that nothing else references. For a real size cut, follow up with compression.
What if I try to delete every page?
You'll see an error instead of a file. A PDF with zero pages isn't valid, so at least one page has to survive. If you want nothing from the document, you don't need a tool at all.
What does it say if a page number is out of range?
The tool names the problem, for example that page 20 is outside a 14-page document, and tells you the actual page count. Fix the number and press the button again. Password-protected or damaged files get a separate message saying the file couldn't be read.
